IMHO you are better off monitoring your resting heart rate trends - the heart rate sensor in the Fenix 5 Plus is VERY good for measuring resting heart rate, and is within 1 BPM of both my Wahoo Tickr and Polar H10 heart rate belts.
I got a Fenix 6 a couple weeks ago to replace a Lily that I was having some common issues with. I loved the app enough though that I wanted another garmin and settled on a 6 sapphire. I'm kind of frustrated with the step counts though.

A Fenix 5x already has stress (All Day Stress & Recovery from FirstBeat), and the same factors that show the stress score are what shows the body battery drain when not active.
